Western Stevedoring the first company in the Baltic States acquired environmentally friendly hydraulic cranes

news1As a part of the strategic development, in the first quarter of 2012 Western Stevedoring purchased three mobile cranes Terex Fuchs, which were manufactured in Germany.
All three cranes are classified as environmentally friendly technique for its particular capability to internally burn out fuel particles instead of emitting them to the atmosphere. Terex Fuchs machinery has integrated special tanks, which may use heating of up to 600 degrees to eliminate fuel waste before it gets to the environment. Western Stevedoring is the first throughout the Baltic region who has purchased such cranes.

“Acquisition of new machinery is one of many timely made investments, which will enable Western Stevedoring to maintain service quality in accordance to the growth of cargo flow. Furthermore these three new cranes will allow to optimize loading capability and increase work efficiency and productivity”, said Western Stevedoring Director Gediminas Rimkus.
An additional investment of about 10 million LTL is planned to be made into company’s superstructure in 2012 and 2013.
