Western Stevedoring became a member of Association of Lithuanian Stevedoring Companies

20140131aRapidly growing company Western Stevedoring, this year on January 24 became fifteenth member of Association of Lithuanian Stevedoring Companies (ALSC).
In the general meeting of ALSC, Association members approved Western Stevedoring application for a legal membership presented by company’s director Gediminas Rimkus. The company belongs to Western Shipyard group and previous years acted as the representative of the whole group’s interests in ALSC. From now on Western Stevedoring is legal member of ALSC.

Established in 2003, Western Stevedoring in the southern part of the port of Klaipeda operates three specialized terminals for handling and storage of bulk and packaged cargoes, as well as oversized and heavy lift cargoes and liquid products. Currently company’s annual throughput reaches 2 million tons. The company employs 140 workers.
Association of Lithuanian Stevedoring Companies (ALSC) was established in 1999. It is a public organization, carrying out its policy independently. Association considers the development of port activities issues, coordinates and solves all relevant questions of Port companies.
